National Floristry Training Institute (Pty) Ltd previously known as Flower Connexion (South African School of Floristry) is a Florist Academy  which has been existence since 2006.  

Our tutors have been in the business for many years and know all the pitfalls in opening and running a successful florist.  We now impart our knowledge on our students and assist them in the opening and running of their businesses.

Our Florist Academy offers flower arranging courses for one and all, whether you want to learn to arrange flowers for fun or as a business. Our aim is to skill the unskilled and to equip students to realize their dreams.

We offer floristry courses which will teach you to arrange all the types of flower arrangements, as well as how to run a florist business.  Full-time as well as part-time courses are available.  Our latest courses include Draping, Function and Events, Entertaining 101, Home Executives / Domestics courses. In addition we offer workshops in Table Settings and Flowers, Gift Wrapping, Napkin Folding and Chair Backs.  We are proud to present a 4 month Events Planning course which will be SETA Accredited.  2013 will see the launch of two Seta / SAQA National Qualification Courses, Event Management and Floristry.

 The 4 month Event Planning course for 2012 is a 4 month part-time / full-time Function and Wedding Planning course which will teach you the practical side to function planning and organising and includes topics like Flower Arranging, Draping, Wedding Flowers, Function and Wedding planning, Quoting, Budgeting and how to start your own home-based event planning business.  This course will be made up of 58 credits.

Flower Connexion received a Gold Award at Gardenex 2010 for an outstanding stand, which showcased many of our students work and businesses.

Flower Connexion  is proud to be associated with "Clover Mama Afrika".  We have trained ladies from many rural areas as part of Clover's Social Responsibility Project.
